Feminism or Arrogance?
Everyone, male or female, is born with unique potential (discovered or not). This truism, by implication, means that everyone is relevant. That Ngozi is a woman doesn't make her potential insignificant. These phenomena gave birth to the concept of FEMINISM
Feminism is a collective movement aimed at defining, establishing, and defending equal political, economic, and social rights for women..this idea was born to give equal representation to both genders (men and women).it is aimed at bringing women to the spotlight. Feminist activists, especially in the west, campaigned for women's rights such as rights to own property, and vote_ while promoting bodily integrity. Feminists have worked to protect women and girls from domestic violence, sexual assault, and sexual harassment. They have also advocated for workplace right such as maternity leave and fought against any form of discrimination against women at places of work. Feminism connotes productivity; being at your best in everything you do as a woman. It is a movement aimed at boosting women's morale to attain greater heights.
The concept of Feminism, however, has earned for itself divergent interpretations. some people see it as a threat to man's position in society, others, especially shallow-minded women, see it as a ground to stand up to men arrogantly. These wrong interpretations have made it difficult to handle some women. A woman who fails to perform her marital roles because she thinks it is not solely her duty is not a feminist. The rationale of Feminism is to create a productive and corporative economic and social atmosphere using human resources And not to cause conflict..it is not about power tussle, it is about collectivity and dedication. God created Eve to support Adam not to be his rival. women, therefore, are to play supportive roles where needed. FEMINISM and ARROGANCE are two different things. Don't excuse one for the other. And where the line is drawn is what you should know.
